Billy Joe Tygart (BJ), 91, of Woodson passed away September 21, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. He was born December 16, 1931 in Woodson to the late Joe T and Iva Tygart.

Through his life, BJ worked as a welder and later on opened his own lawn mower shop in Woodson. During his free time, you could find him tinkering on something, hunting, fishing or spending time with his brother, Sam.

BJ is survived by his three children, Anne of El Dorado, Billy Michael (Janelle) and David both of Little Rock and seven step children that he loved dearly. He is also survived by twenty - five grandchildren, fifty- seven great grandchildren and twenty-nine great-great grandchildren. BJ has six siblings and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.

BJ is preceded in death by his wife of eighteen years, Flossie L. Tygart; his two parents; one brother, Tommy; one sister, Aileen; four stepchildren; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
