Treva ''Annabelle'' Hampton, 92, of Oark died Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born September 12, 1930 in San Bernardino, California to Clinton Lester and Ethel May (Smith) Bailey. Annabelle enjoyed the outdoors, spending much of her time fishing, gardening, ginseng digging and camping. She was also a talented cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Ethel Bailey; her husband, ''Jess'' Hampton; seven children, Sue Farmer, Marilyn Bickner, Leslie Farmer, Claude Hampton, David Hampton, Jessica Danielle Hampton, Kathryn Williams and Faye Farmer; six grandchildren, Randy Hampton, Bobby Hampton, Dalton Hampton, Brandon Hampton, Barry Farmer and Jessica Hampton and one daughter-in-law, Peggy Hampton.
Annabelle is survived by fifteen children, Christie Fouts and husband Jeff of Dover, Villa Friesen and husband, George of Fallsville, Linda Williams and husband, Ricky, Lester Hampton and wife, Sheila, Johnny Hampton and wife, Virdia, James Hampton and wife, Debra, Bob Hampton and wife, Faye, Lydle Hampton, Glenna Ward, and Viancie Hampton; forty-six grandchildren, including Patience Nichole Cross, Eric Richter, Jerry Hampton and Belinda Sisco; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; dear friends, Maxine Sexton, Shirley Campbell, Joyce Proctor and Betty Jo and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Coleman Cemetery in Dover (Pelsor). Stanley Taylor will officiate. Jeff Fouts, Eric Richter, Jerry Hampton, Danny Sisco, Lane Sisco and Keith Ricketts will serve as casket bearers. Honorary bearers will be Ricky Williams, Lester Hampton, Johnny Hampton, James Hampton, Bob Hampton and Lydle Hampton.
