Mary Weaver Arms, age 90, of Charlotte passed away peacefully in her home on August 9, 2023 in Charlotte. She was born on June 1, 1933 in Charlotte, Arkansas to the late Ransom Miles Weaver and Susan "Ann" Weaver. Mary was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Charlotte Church of Christ where she formed many special lifelong friendships.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary was married to the love of her life, Orville, on October 26, 1951, after years of being chased by him since elementary school. They shared 71 wonderful years together, surrounded by a loving family, friends and the support of their community.

Mary had a compassionate heart and expressed her love for her friends and family through heartfelt cards and kind words. She was clever and was never afraid to speak her mind. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion and the impact she made on the lives of those around her.

Mary is survived by her beloved spouse, Orville Arms; her children, Debbie Stanley (Dean) of Judsonia and Kevin Arms (Denise) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Bella Arms, Ben Stanley and Allison Simmons (Baron) and her great-grandchildren, Emerson Simmons, Baron Simmons Jr., Sloan Simmons, Mckenly Clark, Harper Stanley and Cali Stanley. She also had a wonderful relationship with her sister in laws, Dorthy, Shirley and Peggy and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Gates and brother, R.M. Weaver.

Mary graduated from Charlotte High School in 1951. She then went on to work in the office at the International Shoe Co. from 1952-1987 (when it closed). She was a loyal and dedicated employee and took pride in her hard work. She enjoyed her work at Townsend's as a switchboard operator and receptionist from 1987 until she retired on June 26, 1998.

Mary's hobbies included planting flowers, watching birds in her yard and taking care of her cats. She also enjoyed collecting frogs, clowns and Santa Claus figurines. She also cherished visits from her grandchildren, especially when Bella would come up the hill for a visit.

A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on August 12, 2023 at Charlotte Church of Christ in Charlotte, AR.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joyce Williams and Arkansas Hospice staff for their exceptional care and compassion.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Pallbearers are Rick Shaw, Vaughn Ward, Randy Ward, Ronnie Melton, Pat Melton, Randy Weaver and Ben Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Lillard and Jerrel Lillard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00am at the Charlotte Church of Christ with Chuck Crow officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held just one hour prior to the service.
