of Little Rock, AR
October 22, 1960 - June 23, 2023
Grady Leon Taylor, 62, passed away peacefully on 23 June 2023. He is survived in life by his wife of 37 years, Renee Ross Taylor; sons, Broc, LA and Braden Taylor (Emily); mother, Lola Taylor; siblings, Georgia Ruckert (Doug), WI, Bill, Adam, Lincoln (Debby), OK, Lillian and his two dogs, Tuffy and Little. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Taylor and stepfather, Kenny Dodds.
Grady was born in California on 22 October 1960. He lived and worked in Little Rock, Arkansas for the majority of his life. He was a retired telecommunications expert of 40 years and installed countless phone systems in many major Arkansas businesses. He loved his city and the culture it formed.
Grady was a charming and happy man. He was full of life and enjoyed all aspects of living a carefree and fulfilling existence. He enjoyed an afternoon with family close to him so that he might laugh with them. He was a wonderful cook and provided meals for all those who were under his roof. He had a passion for music. As a young adult he played bass guitar and as an old man he could be found at concerts passing through Little Rock, reminiscing. Grady was also curious about the universe around him. He loved watching the night sky and reflecting on what might be in front of him.
And beyond all things, he loved and is proud of his family. His wife, Renee Ross Taylor and sons, Broc and Braden Taylor gave him passion to push forward. Through them Grady lives on. While Grady is not able to be with us now, his family follows his lead and advances towards something greater than themselves. They reflect who Grady wanted to be.
His family would like to expand this deepest thanks to Dr. Sadiq and his staff at St Vincent Physical Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock and Hospice Homecare on Bowman Rd Little Rock. A special Thank You to Julie for your kindness and comforting words during Grady's and his family's time of need.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 28 June 2023 from 5-8 pm at Roller Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30. What remains of his body will be laid to rest at Mount Holly Cemetery Garden Columbarium.
