Mary "Pud" White Thomas, 80, of Osceola, AR, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born July, 13, 1942 to the late Mary Catherine White and Faber A. White. Pud received her B.S. Degree from Lindenwood College, her Master's degree from Memphis University and was a certified Media Specialist. She retired from the Osceola School District after teaching for 25 years. She was a hospital volunteer and a devout member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Dr. Joe C. Thomas; daughter Dr. Mary Jo Henry (Dr. Paul Henry) of Fayetteville, AR; sons: Carter A. Thomas of Highland Park, Texas and his partner Dr. Rod Bowman and Chief Warrant Officer David W. Thomas of Ft. Gordon, GA; brother Dr. F. Allen White (Afton) of Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. In Lieu of flowers, you can make donations to South Mississippi County Hospital Auxiliary or First United Methodist Church.
