Richard Klein Bollinger of West Memphis died on February 24, 2023. He was born August 17, 1926, the son of Oliver I. Bollinger and Tassye P. Bollinger of West Memphis. Mr. Bollinger, known as "Pop" since early childhood was preceded in death by his older brother, Fred N. Bollinger and sister, Mary B. Bretherick.

Mr. Bollinger was married to his beloved wife of 58 years, Florence (Flo) Stark Bollinger, who passed away in 2008. He leaves two children, Betty B. Meurrier (Kuhron) and Richard (Rick) K. Bollinger, Jr. (Sophia) and four wonderful grandchildren, Nathan Oliver Scammerhorn (Kerbe), Katherine Sue (Katy) Scammerhorn, Richard K. Bollinger, III (deceased) and Lindsey M. Price (Evan). He also leaves six great-grandchildren, Mayleigh Scammerhorn, Klein Scammerhorn, Abbey Scammerhorn, Julia Price, Mathis Price and Johnny Price.

Mr. Bollinger was an original congregant of the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis where he served as a Board Member. He participated in the John Mac Smith Sunday School Class and a member of the Methodist Men's organization. He was a charter Board Member of Fidelity National Bank and a charter member of Meadowbrook Country Club where he served on the Board. He also served on the Boards of Crittenden Memorial Hospital and the West Memphis Utility Commission.

Mr. Bollinger served in the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged on the Fourth of July, 1946. Soon after, he began his farming career which continued until his retirement in 1996.

Mr. Bollinger loved the outdoors and when he was not on the farm, he could likely have been found on the golf course. He and Flo traveled extensively and played golf for many years as a member of the Mississippi Seniors Golf Association at US and international venues.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 215 N. Missouri Street, West Memphis, AR 72301 or to Delta Arts, 301 S. Rhodes Street, West Memphis, AR, 72301.
