Claudette Langley Bridges

of North Little Rock, AR

August 12, 1946 - February 1, 2023

CLAUDETTE DEAN LANGLEY BRIDGES, 76, of North Little Rock left the chains of this old world behind for her forever Home in the arms of Jesus on February 1, 2023. Though we are jealous of the angels, we thank God she finally found her Victory and after a 20-year-long admirably courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease, is restored to perfection and at perfect peace.

She was born to Marion Douglas and Pearley Audrey Langley on August 12, 1946 in Conway and spent over 76 years blessing this side of Heaven as the epitome of unconditional love, class and grace.

For over 40 years, Claudette dedicated her unmatched professional skill and unique personal charm to the Little Rock based operations of some of the largest commercial truck tire dealers in the country. An administrative jack-of-all trades, she unlocked the doors before the sun at TreadCo, Inc. and Wingfoot Commercial Tire and was the grease that kept the wheels turning until each business day's close.

The revered and cherished matriarch of her family, she embraced her role as Momma and Ma whole-heartedly. Amidst the ebb and flow of an earthly life where change is inevitable, she remained our constant; a steady rock anchored in wisdom, love and most importantly, her faith in Jesus Christ and His promises. Her carport door was always open for all she loved to enter as often they liked and stay as long as they needed. Her home was built by her own personal design to be the place to run to for guaranteed comfort, rest, love and a fridge stocked with leftovers and snacks far better than your own. Those closest to her heart will miss that phone call just making sure we know to be off the road the next time bad weather threatens her no longer worrisome, precious heart.

Claudette was a loyal member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, Crosspoint Baptist Church and Pike Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, Jimmy Earl Bridges. She is survived by four siblings, Paulette (Frank) Putt of Mabelvale, Anita Fisher of Little Rock, Kerry Langley of Maumelle and Harry (Susan) Langley of North Little Rock; two daughters, Kimberly (Bill) Wilmot of North Little Rock and Shannon (Kevin) Sweetin of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Lanzy Brazear of Kensett, Willis (Katie) Brazear of Sherwood, Brooke (David) Sahler of Rockwall, TX, Hayden Taylor of North Little Rock, Brandon (Madison) Wilmot of Fayetteville, Josh (Maren) Sweetin of Carmel, IN and Taylor (Paige) Sweetin of Cabot, AR; five great-grandchildren, Braxton Taylor and Rhett and Colt Brazear, and Tate and Quinn Sweetin; lifelong best friend, Phyllis McClendon Whorton and a host of extended family and friends she made feel genuinely loved.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kathryn Chenault, Dr. David Greenwood, Dr. Michael Berry, caregiver Karen Robinson, the staff of The Greenhouse Cottages of Poplar Grove and Baptist Health Hospice for their loving care and compassion.

Donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation, in lieu of flowers.

Visitation will be Monday, February 6, at 12:30 P.M. at Roller Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Wyman officiating. A private burial will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.
