Mary Joan Ellyson, 86, of Gravel Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on November 09, 2022.

Joan was born in Augusta to Finis Raglin and Dora McGowan on October 5, 1936. She graduated from Laura Conner High School where she made All-State and All-District in Basketball and was also a member of the band and a majorette. She loved to play the piano in her spare time.

Joan is survived by her sons, John Quincy Adams, Jeffery Edward Adams (Tina), Craig Bartley Adams, and Erik James Ellyson ; daughter Cynthia Ann Adams Kading (Greg); brother, Donald Raglin; Grandchildren, Tasha Horton (Shane), Brittany Sauberan (Alan), Savannah Evans (Casey), Jacob Adams, Joseph Adams, Joshua Adams, Amy Caudill, Liz Davis, Lauren Knight (Adam), Molly Nabors (Mark), Jaqueline Kiefer, Jamie Adams, Joslyn Guyer, and Samuel Adams, Alexandria Ellyson, Presli Ellyson, and Jaci Spence; Great Grandchildren, Braden Horton, Brooklyn Horton, Noah Sauberan, Ashton Sauberan, Katriel Sauberan, Jayden Ghent, Liz Ghent, Cason Knight, and Bentley Knight; Great-Great Grandchildren, Cooper Ghent, and Wyman Horton. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Lynn Ellyson(United States Air Force, retired) until his passing away in 1988; brother, Finis Raglin; sisters, Dorothy Harlow, Maxine Garner, Kathleen Roberts, and Nell Duncan.

A memorial service will be held at Roller-Alcoa on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Dr. Rick Grant officiating.
