Cleidth ''Clay'' M. Younce, age 94, of Little Rock passed away October 5, 2022.

He was born November 1, 1927 in Prestonburg, Kentucky to Sylvester and Rebecca Younce.

Mr. Younce was a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Serving in the Navy for 4 years and the Army for 22 years, he was a Combat Engineer and retired as a Command Sgt. Major.

Mr. Younce was a graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1980. He worked in Rescue Mission in North Little Rock and was a VA Chaplain at Ft. Roots.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Elsie Thynne Younce; three children, Richard William Younce and wife, Kathy, Linda Leslie Terrell and husband, Scott and David Christopher Younce and wife, Rachelle; six grandchildren, Michael Younce, Justin David Younce, Robert David Younce, Clay Alan Younce, Matthew Pilkington, Kyle Pilkington, Reed Lamphere and Mackenzie Lamphere; five great-grandchildren, Audri, Tyler, Caleb, Avery and Skyler; one great great-grandchild, Oliver; two brothers, Sylvester Junior Younce and Wendell Younce and three sisters, Vonda Ladd, Dottie Hastings and Trena Ratliff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kristi Younce and two brothers, Harold Delmon Younce and Gennis Younce.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12th at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.
