Blake Arlis Sutterfield, age 22, passed from this life on August 31, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Blake was born on July 29, 2000 in Harrison, Arkansas to mother, Sally Ragland, and father, Arlis Sutterfield. He was the brother of Brittany Sutterfield and Logan Sutterfield.

Blake grew up in Marshall, Arkansas surrounded by things he loved: his friends and family and the outdoors. From a young age, Blake could be found building club houses and forts in the woods, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes down dirt roads, or fishing and swimming in swimming holes all across Searcy County. He also spent many weekends at the lake camping and catfishing with his dad, brother, and cousins. Often, Blake could be found in the company of his grandmother, Alice, who shared her tendency of being late but also her sense of humor and mischievousness and her love of life and family with her grandson. Blake loved trying new restaurants and food or cooking with loved ones as they spent time together. As Blake got older, he continued to find the most joy in spending time in good company, always joking and always laughing.

Blake faced many health challenges and other obstacles throughout his life. Even for such a young person, he showed great strength and courage and was the same loving and sweet man in his passing as he was as a child. Blake's greatest gifts to those around him were a lifetime of happy memories and an example of strength in the face of adversity. His smile and laugh will always be with us.

Blake is survived by his mother, Sally Ragland, and father, Arlis Sutterfield, as well as his older sister, Brittany Sutterfield; younger brother, Logan Sutterfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Blake is preceded in death by his grandparents: Louis and Alice Ragland and Thelma and Olen Sutterfield.

A memorial service will be held October 1st at 4:00 pm at Grandview Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. James Horton officiating.
