John Edward (Ed) Roberts, 92, was born in 1930 to Dorothy and Cecil Roberts in Decatur, Illinois and passed away in the company of his close friends on August 6, 2022 in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.

He is survived by wife, Mary Ann; two sons and six stepdaughters; and a multitude of grandchildren, nieces and nephews across the states.

Ed earned his Journalism Master's degree from University of Missouri, then worked for 35 years in advertising/marketing for Caterpillar Tractor Company. He served in the US Navy during the Korea Conflict and retired from the Navy Reserve as a Captain. He was also active in many clubs including Lions, Masons, Scottish Rite, Shriners and more than 15 years with the Fairfield Bay EMS. Ed had a serving spirit that benefited everyone that he knew.

The memorial service will be held at Fairfield Bay United Methodist Church, on Friday August 12, 2022, at noon.
