Lilah Sue Farrer, 91, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at her home with her loved ones by her side.
Lilah was born March 4, 1931 in Russellville, Arkansas to her parents, Julius Alston and Marion (Douglass) Alston. She was a retired school cook for Scranton Schools and was a member of the First Baptist church in Scranton. She was also a member of the Logan County Extension Homemaker Council in Midway and would enter items she had made in the Logan County fair. She enjoyed doing photography, sewing, cooking and gardening. Her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; her husband of sixty-three years, Vane C. Farrer; two brothers, Warren Alston and Forest Alston.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Farrer and wife, Shirley and John Farrer and wife, Sharie both of Scranton, Arkansas; two daughters, Gail Bottoms and husband Edward of Russellville, Arkansas and Carla Krohn and husband James of Clarksville, Arkansas; one brother, Robert Alston and wife, Daisy of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister, Shirley Alston of Branch, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Wares Chapel cemetery near Scranton. Arrangements and Graveside service are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home Paris.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
