of Plano, TX
August 3, 1926 - June 16, 2022
Wretha Peters, 95, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 resting comfortably at her home in Plano, TX. She was born August 3, 1926 in Iowa.
Wretha dedicated much of her time and efforts to support the SPCA and the Searcy Humane Society. She devoted her life to making a home for her family, working inside and outside of the home. She supported her husband as a military wife during the Korean War, the 1964 earthquake in Alaska, as well as the Vietnam conflict. In addition, she remained involved in a variety of service organizations within her community.
In Wretha's 95 years, she observed changes in technology and lifestyles of the world. However, she remained true to her beliefs making choices that reflected her desire to do the right things for the right reasons. She preferred to be the one in the shadows, ever ready to aid a person who needed her wisdom and affection, to aid a bird fallen from a tree, or to rescue an orphaned deer. Those, she held close, endlessly count her kindnesses; those who hold her in their hearts, will eternally hold her close.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 29th at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
