Idell Raper, 95, of Osceola, AR passed away May 26, 2022. She was born August 18, 1926 to Clayton and Estelle Peery. She was a homemaker who loved her family and friends. She was a member of Luxora First Baptist Church, she was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Womens Missionary Union (WMU), church treasure for 50 years, was the church organist, taught VBS and served on many committees. Idell also was known as the Bread Lady in Osceola, she would bake bread and sell it to help send kids to church camp, a member of the PTA, a 4-H Leader and in the Luxora Book Club. She enjoyed sewing for her family. She is survived by her husband of 80 years, Elkin Raper; daughters, Irene Jackson, Barbara (John Madigan) Wright, Dianna (Damon) Clauss; son, Dwayne (Jeanie) Raper; daughter-in-law, Pat Raper; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Buddy Peery and Boyd Peery; sisters, Shelby Hughes, Shirley Johnson and Cherry McGlothan; sister-in-law, Margaret Raper; extended family, Emmanuel Brown and Louis Dyche; many Nieces, Nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy Raper; sister, Millie Harper; sons-in-law, Phillip Wright and Paul Jackson; and brother-in-law, Ottis Raper.
