Bybe Donald ''Bud'' Alexander, age 86, of Marks, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Mr. Alexander was born on August 13, 1935 in Carson Lake, Arkansas to the late Charles ''Big Daddy'' Melvin Alexander and Opal ''Big Momma'' Moss Alexander. He was a member of Richmond Hill Church of Christ. Voted outstanding Young Farmer of The Year by the local Helena ''Jaycees''. Bud served as the local Justice of The Peace in Helena, Arkansas and volunteered coaching basketball at the Helena-West Helena Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Alexander helped implement the foundation for establishing, The Desoto School, and was a member of the Earl Wells Hunting Club, as well as a member of the Helena Lion's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Smith Alexander; daughter, Beverly Alexander Bradshaw (Tommy) of Mayflower, Arkansas and Marks, Mississippi; son, Donald Milton ''Brother'' Alexander of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Alexis Paige Alexander of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Ethan Cole Alexander, serving USAF, (Romeena Alexander) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three great grandchildren, Kai Alexander, May Alexander and Aria Alexander; two sisters, Donice Daniels of Forrest City, Arkansas and Mary Lynn Goodin of Dallas, Texas; three special nephews, Eddie Ryals, Ricky Ryals and Phil Alexander; special niece, Donna Jean Rice and beloved pets, Reese and Minnie Moses.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Alexander and daughter-in-law, Mindy Alexander.
A funeral service for Bybe ''Bud'' Donald Alexander will be held at 2:00 p.m., May 29, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Bishop Leroy ''Dusty'' Carter Jr. will officiate with honorary official, Brother Benny Stephens.
Pallbearers are Phillip Gregory, Jesse Ryals, Lloyd Ryals, Wes Ryals, Randy Warfield and George Robert Bradshaw.
Honorary pallbearers are Phil Alexander, Eddie Ryals, Ricky Ryals and Wayne Ware.
