Jessica Lynn Layton, age 36, of Helena, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Mrs. Layton was born on January 9, 1986 in Helena, Arkansas to Ronald Layton and Linda Hacker Layton. Jessica was a funny and outgoing person. She will be missed by all of her children, family and friends. Jessica was always smiling, no matter what life put upon her; she could find the good in any person or situation. She deeply loved and cared for her children and nephews. Although she was taken from us way too soon, we will find comfort knowing we will see her again in Heaven. We love you, sweet baby girl.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Gould; two sons, Tyler VonKanel and Hunter Layton of West Helena, Arkansas; two step daughters, Kaitlyn and Jaden Gould of Lexa; mother, Linda McGuire (Mickey) of Benton, Arkansas; father, Ronnie Layton of Helena; sister, Crystal Layton of Helena; brother, Ronnie Layton of Benton; two step brothers, Lance and Logan McGuire of Benton; niece, Lexi Layton; five nephews, Andrew Smith, Trey Layton, Preston Layton, Thomas Stagg, and Matthew Stagg; two great nieces, Everleigh and Ember; great nephew, Royce; grandmother, Christine Layton; great grandmother, Margaret Smith; six aunts, Mary Green, Janie Dillinger, Eva Jean Hacker, Kim Siano (Pat) and Ginger and Renie Layton; four uncles, Oneal Hacker, Thomas Hacker, Ronnie Dillinger, and Jeff Layton (Ginger); 12 cousins, Ronnie Dillinger, Jr., Christopher Hacker (Kim), Michelle Ginn (William Green), Kenny Jones, Tori Siano, Matthew Siano, Noah Siano, Chad Haggins, Robert Haggins, Scott Haggins, Michael Layton, and Kristen Layton; a very special cousin, Hillary Laureles; a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert Layton; maternal grandfather, Clarence Hacker; maternal grandmother, Bettie Hacker; uncle, Mike Layton; aunt, Pam Haggins.

Pallbearers are Lance McGuire, Tyler VonKanel, Preston Layton, Ronnie Dillinger, Jr., Ronnie Layton, Jr., and Ronnie White.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Henson, Jason White, Tim Moneymaker and Gary Laureles.

A funeral service for Jessica Layton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Burial will follow to Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Wallace Scaife will officiate.
