Bera Joan Pettus

Bera Joan Pettus, age 91, passed away peacefully at the Restoration Senior Living Facility in Covington, Louisiana on May 13, 2022. She was born in Blooming Grove, Texas on August 21, 1930. Her parents were Lillie Russell and John Coleman Howard.

Joan graduated from Blooming Grove High School in May, 1947 and married Beryl Erwin Pettus on December 19, 1948. She was a graduate from Sam Houston State University and taught elementary classes for 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Howard; by her husband, Beryl Pettus and beloved granddaughter, Kimberly Matthew Reck.

Joan is survived by Pamela and John Bryant, Christine and Ed Matthew, plus 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be May 23, 2022, 10:00 am at Center Hill Baptist Cemetery, Center Hill AR. Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy is handling the services.
