Vera L. Trisler

of Paris, AR

April 25, 1931 - February 11, 2022

Vera L. Trisler of Paris, Ar. is now walking the Streets of Gold with her Heavenly Father. She passed from this life Feb. 11, 2022, in Charleston, Ar. She was born April 25, 1931, to Odis Levi and Ruth (Floyd) Butler in Quinton, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Floyd Wesley (Buddy) Trisler, 5 siblings, Charles and Merle Butler, Sybel Mills, Iva King and Lorene Nelke, 2 sons-in-laws, Herbert Howard and Danny Fairbanks and a granddaughter, Amber Mackey.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruthie (Bill) Burkett, Mary Howard, and Betty Fairbanks all of Paris. Grandchildren, Jon (Becky)Burkett of Colorado, Cory (Stacy)Burkett of Clarksville, Toby (Charla) Burkett of North Little Rock, Ray (Tasha)Howard and Wes (Lori) Howard of Paris, Ryan (Rochelle) Mackey of New Zealand & Jessica (Matthew) Langley of Paris and 22 great-grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Ruby Bernard of Fort Smith and a brother-in-law, John (Bobby) Trisler of Arizona and several nieces & nephews.

Vera was a DHS Caseworker, who loved and nurtured many, many, foster and abused children throughout her career, forming many lasting friendships which encompassed people from all walks of life. She and Floyd were Southern Baptist church planters in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Southside Baptist Church of Paris was Vera's final earthly worship center where she loved and served the Lord. Vera used her God given talent of singing in all churches she attended also singing with her siblings in their early years and participating in the Ms. Senior Arkansas Pageant. In her last years she could be seen playing the piano on occasion from her wheelchair and singing gospel music at Greenhurst.

Vera & Floyd could be seen walking the streets of the Paris Square holding hands as they participated in community events including three generations of supporting the Paris Eagles, North Logan Chamber Events, and the Paris Senior Center. They were honored with the Golden Harvest Award in 2006.

The family would like to thank Greenhurst Nursing Center and its staff for their excellent care of Vera during her final 3 years.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday February 15, 2022, at First Assembly of God in Paris and burial following at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris. Her grandson, Toby Burkett will be officiating, and grandsons & great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southside Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Paris.
