of West Memphis, AR
March 28, 1944 - January 11, 2021
There are very few men in this world like Charles Cox. If you ask anyone who knew him, you would no doubt hear only great things. And on January 11, 2021, he was welcomed home into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Alec Cox and Lela Cox.
Charles definitely left an impact on anyone he came in contact with.
Those who were left behind to cherish his legacy are his loving wife and best friend for 56 years and 11 months, Shirley Davis Cox; his brother, A.D. Cox; his sons, Brian Cox (Robin), Dan Cox (Kendra) and Greg Cox (Jill); his grandchildren, who were his crowning jewels, Daniel Cox (Kayla), Cameron Cox, Cassidy Cox, Camden Bradshaw, Andrew Cox, Nathan Cox, Thomas Cox; as well as great grandchild, Bridget Cox. He also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
Among his many talents, Charles was an avid hunter. He loved spending time on the lake chasing the ''one that got away.''
He loved to garden, or simply sit back with a favorite book in a comfy chair.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, and amazing grandfather . . . and boy did he love his grandchildren.
He was a devout member of First Assembly of God in West Memphis, Arkansas, and his faith was a big part of his life.
You could search the world over, and you'd never find a giant of a man quite like Charles.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
It is Roller-Citizens Funeral Home's great honor to pay tribute to Charles' life.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the local Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet is recommended for outdoor services and all funeral attendees are requested to wear masks.
