Albert Ray Griffin, 87, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto, in Southaven, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Susie Louise Hancock Griffin; his loving wife, Helen Lorene Stacy Griffin; and his brother, Roger Griffin.

Albert is survived by his 2 sons, Jerry Ray Griffin and William Glen Griffin; his 3 grandsons, Kevin Griffin, Michael Griffin, and Jeremy Griffin; his 2 great granddaughters, Charlotte Griffin and Marlee Griffin; his 5 sisters, Sarah Worley, Myrna Pruitt, Shirley Burk, Linda Webb (Jerry), Patricia Clark (Romey); his brother, Howard Griffin (Evelyn); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Albert was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he loved to sing, especially gospel music. Albert loved his family deeply and enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He enjoyed the outdoors, and fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 5145 US-51, Horn Lake, MS, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a funeral service immediately following. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, West Helena, AR at 2:00 PM.
