Helen Bernice Powell, 85, Collierville, TN, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Voy D. Powell; her parents, Walter and Ruby Gatlin; her daughter, Teresa Powell; and her brother, Burl Gatlin. Helen is survived by her 2 daughters, Denise Ervin (Noel), of Collierville, TN, and Lisa Garrett (Carl), of Columbus, MS; her 6 grandchildren, Rachel Baker (La Jarrid), Paul Clark (Julie), Karen Abernathy (Mac), Sarah Garrett, Terry Ryan (Erin), and Jennifer Scharff (Edward); her 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Gale Powell.
