Maureen Sterling, age 56, of Greenbrier, AR passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Conway Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 28, 1948 in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Herbert J. and Mary Ellen Volkman of Mountain Home, AR.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Kenneth Sterling of Greenbrier; two daughters, Amy Kirschbaum and husband, Douglas of Greenbrier, Linda Ellen Sterling of Orland Park, IL; a son, Victor Sterling and wife Kimberly of Conway; a beloved grandson, Liam Kirschbaum; two sisters, Kristie Tuttle and husband, Kirk of Peachtree City, GA, Alecia Newman of Mountain Home; a brother, Jay Volkman of Mountain Home; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and dearest friends, Karen and Ray Gandurski, Ed and Dianna Prout, Kristy Hitchcock, and Marge Abbott.

An indomitable spirit who met all of life's challenges, who knew no bounds, and could do anything she set her mind to doing.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Kenneth Sterling.

Memorials may be made to the Faulkner County Humane Society.
