Laura Jo, I think about you often and praying for your comfort and peace.
Charlie and his family will always have a special place in my heart. He reached out to me and my husband when we were strangers and helped us make a life in Clinton, Arkansas. His kindness, many skills and delightful humor are to be treasured and emulated. A true southern gentleman. RIP
Charlie befriended me when I moved to Clinton in 1971, a green, young 19 year old. I worked with Charlie every day and sometimes at night for the next 3 years at Van Buren County Hospital where he encouraged and sponsored me to become a licensed Medical Laboratory Technician. He freely shared his wealth of knowledge about medicine, cars, and Southern Hospitality. He was a mentor and friend. He was honest, kind, generous, and capable. His memory has been with me my entire life. I am grateful and honored to have known and worked with him. My condolences to his family.
