of Edgemont, AR
July 8, 1943 - January 16, 2016
Conley Harold Roller was welcomed into the glory and peace of God's Presence on January 16, 2016 at his lake home. Harold was born July 8, 1943 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the third son of Conley and Queenie Roller. He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree and masters degree from East Tennessee State University.
Harold enjoyed a long time career in accounting and finance at Eastman Chemical Company, retiring while still a young man. Harold worked hard and played hard. He loved the ocean and he loved camping and traveling in the RV. He always made a point to take his family on an annual vacation. He had a passion for biking, taking a 1,000 mile journey across the US. He delighted in living at the lake, where he taught his children to waterski. The lake house was his ongoing building project. Harold was an avid bridge player and an even more avid competition dominos player. He enjoyed woodworking and took great pleasure in building a cradle for his first grandchild.
From the time Harold was a young man, he loved his Lord, and was always willing to take tasks seriously. Harold never minded sacrificing his desires for his family. He was a true family-man who followed God's path throughout his life. A forward thinking person, he continued to look for ways to improve. He served as a deacon, a treasurer, an elder, and on numerous church committees. Harold poured his heart and time into his final church home that he whole-heartedly believed has a great future ahead.
Harold is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Libby; his son Tim Roller of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter Connie and son-in-law Joe Whisenhunt, and their children, Maggie, Joey, Zeke, Henry, Max, and Eleanor of Conway, Arkansas; his brother Don and wife Betty of Ponte Vedra, Florida; his brother David and wife Dorothy of Bel Air, Maryland; many beloved nieces and nephews; a multitude of wonderful friends and neighbors, and his cherished dog Fancy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life service for Harold will be Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 775 East Boswell Street, Batesville, Arkansas followed by a Time of Remembrance gathering with cookies and coffee in the Fellowship Hall. Rev. Mike Yarman and Dr. Walter Swetnam will be officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1261 Greers Ferry, AR 72067 or The Salvation Army, 2125 Harkrider St., Suite 12, Conway, AR 72034 (Harold said they had the lowest administrative cost!)
Libby and family,
So very sorry for your loss. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time.

I was very sad to hear of Harold's passing. He and I were about the same age. I was born in March of '43, and he in July of '43. The photo in the paper is so good of him. Just like I remember him when I last saw him at his mom's funeral, except for the beautiful white hair. He was always laughing, that is how I remember Harold. From the obit, it appears he lived a life of love and service. Such a good memory to pass on to your family.
Time will help you to adjust to not having him by your side. God never leaves nor forsakes us, but, you know that, too. Deut. 31:6
God is truly our Refuge and our Fortress, a very present help in times of trouble.
Love, Prayers and Blessings of Comfort,
Beulah Whitson
(Mary Garland Whitson's youngest daughter).

So saddened to hear about Harold. Daisy Lou saw the obit in the Kingsport paper and called me. I called to let Adalee and her family know. The obit is beautifully written. So happy to read about Harold's love of the Lord and all of his interests. We, too, love camping and dominoes. I am sure had we lived closer together we would have had great times. I always have loved Harold, Donnie, and David. As a child I looked up to them like they were older brothers. There is something about cousins that makes life sweeter, even when you haven't seen each other in years. Tom and I want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are comforted in knowing we will see Harold again. Love, Rosemary

Libby, Connie & Tim,
You all are in our thoughts and prayers. We have only known Harold since 2008 when we moved into the neighborhood, but we did not realize what a great man he was. He was the most Godly man that I have met on this earth. He was a great neighbor and friend. May God hold you all and comfort you during this difficult time. He will surely be miss in our neighborhood.
God Bless! Have comfort in knowing he is home now!
Libby and family, So sorry for your loss. It's hard to see our loved ones suffer but harder to let them go! You are all in my prayers. Angela
Harold and I were high school classmates until graduation. His mother, Queenie was a coworker of mine at my first job. Although it has been almost forty years since I last saw Harold, I am saddened to learn of his passing. Sincerest condolences to his loved ones.

Libby, we are so sorry to hear that Harold has passed. It has been too many years since we saw the two of you. We enjoyed playing bridge with you and Harold. We were aware of some of Harold's health issues in later years, but always remember him as very upbeat and a friend to all.
