Frances I. Smith, age 77, of Barton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Helena. Mrs. Smith was born February 19, 1938 at Marvell to the late Lee S. and Molly Davis. She was a member of Trenton Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Rickey Lee Smith and Reggie Smith, both of Barton; two young ladies that were like daughters, Holly Johnson Henson (Jerry) of West Helena and Dawnita Cutlip of Marvell; two grandchildren, Ashley Smith and Candy Smith; two great-grandchildren, Cayden Hart and Ridik Gene Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a very special friend, James Bradshaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Smith; son, Ronnie Smith; two sisters, Catherine Davis and Jane Jennings; and three brothers, Edward Smith, Robert Davis and Samuel ''Bo'' Davis.
A graveside service for Frances Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Mike Shelley will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers are Scotty Henson, Gary Weaver, Mark Hadder, Jason Bradson, Johnny Johnston, Harley Johnston, Andrew Stewart, Amos Robinson, and Brandon Robinson.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I was so sorry to hear about Frances, I have known her since we were all kids her Aunt was married to my Uncle Kirby then she married my cousin. Gene's dad was my dads first cousin . I hadn't seen her in over a year I used to see her at the beauty shop about every week but I hadn't seen her since I don't go to the same beauty shop anymore. Frances was always a very nice person and seemed to enjoy life, I know her family will miss her so much. all of you will be in my prayers, May God bless each of you.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. The battle is over. I was a teen baby sitter for Mr. Gene and Mrs. Francis. I do not think you could find a person on the planet who was as loving and giving as Mrs. Francis. I cannot count the times you fed me. Take your rest Mrs. Francis, you will never be forgotten.

Frances was a wonderful Lady and an outstanding mother. She took care of all she loved and went out of her way to do for those in need. Blessings Ricky, Reggie and grandbabies.
