I met Serelda on a ladies retreat this last summer and am saddened at her and her husbands passing. She was so lively and full of spirit. I pray peace for your family as you go through the upcoming holiday and over the years until you are reunited in heaven as their faith in Jesus Christ has provided for them for all time.

I'm heartbroken with this news. Serelda became my best friend in Vacation Bible School before 1st grade and our friendship continued through all these years. I loved her dearly. When we were young we played together, went to church and GA’s together, sang together in junior choir and youth choir, and talked too much in class. Even when she was a little girl, she did everything so well and was so sweet. She did not change in maturity. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, and friend. She was Matron of Honor in our wedding. Living in different areas of the country we lost contact, but when I think “best friend,” I think of her.
My prayers are with their precious family. I pray that God will give you His strength and peace. Someday we'll have the most wonderful reunion. Until then, the Lord will be with you and will get you through this very difficult time. My love to you all.

I am so sorry about your loss. How hard it must be to lose both parents at the same time but how wonderful for them to leave this world together! Your family will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers.

I shared an office on the Mtn View campus with this magnificent lady; to say I miss her smile and laugh is a terrible understatement. The office seems so quiet, almost hollow with her gone. But then I think of her infectious laughter and joy, and I can't help but smile! Being around her made me happy even on the worst days.

She adored her family more than words can say. She shared so many funny stories and adorable pictures of her children and grandchildren I almost feel like I knew them myself. Last year just before Christmas, she was making the most beautiful, fun scarves... she was going to make her granddaughters some and wasn't sure how long they should be, so she used my girls as models. And then she surprised them by making one for each of them as well! What an uncommonly beautiful heart she had.

I miss her very much, but I rejoice knowing that she and the love of her life are still together, and happier than we here on Earth can imagine.

I am devastated over this. Losing cousin Marvin last week followed by his brother Walton and his wife Serelda this week is just more than we can bear.

I remember so well all of us boys growing up together, fishing and trading stories. I just can't believe you are all gone.

Though I didn’t have the pleasure of working with Serelda as closely as some, she left a lasting impression on me. While attending a conference with her, I learned that we shared a passion for true, classic country music. This discussion lead to songs we had played in our weddings and she shared with me why she chose, “The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A”

The loss of the Johnson’s is a terrible tragedy, but I find some comfort in knowing that she is now the happiest girl in all of Heaven, because Walt is still by her side. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around all of you at this time! Serelda will be greatly missed by all of us at Ozarka College.
