Reverend Othel Lee Pearson, 89, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born April 30, 1926 in Black Springs, Arkansas to the late Maxwell Pearson and Zadia Warren Pearson. He was also preceded in death by his spouse, Wilma Dean Pearson; two sisters, Ova Brewer and Ovada Yergen; a brother, Olen Pearson; and one grandchild, Christopher Pearson.
Othel was a Baptist minister and his passion was to win people to Christ. He honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He also loved to hunt.
He is survived by one son, Kevin Pearson (Lynn) of Pleasant Plains, AR; a daughter Velda Green (William) of Conway; two sisters, Evonne Duke (Gary) of Collierville, TN, and Clara Brunt of Black Springs, AR; seven grandchildren, Dustin Pearson, Courtney Pearson, Jordan Pearson, Amber Woods, Autumn Roberson, Roger Roberson Jr., and Hannah Roberson; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Pearson, Karver Woods, Kaleb Woods, and Lillian Woods.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Interment to follow at East Shady Grove Cemetery in Greenbrier.
My father shares the same name, Othel Lee Pearson. He passed November 7, 2015. They must have been distant relatives. Your fathers army picture looks very similar to my dads. May peace be with your family.
