Just heard about Johnny's passing today. He and I graduated together and rode the same school bus for years! I think I last saw him at a reunion many years ago and learned he made the military his career. I was so proud and happy for him because I knew what a hard life he had as a kid. I am sorry you are saying goodbye to him this early. May your memories of good times help to brighten these dark days.

To Johnny Ray's family,

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny Ray. Our family (the Louis Isom family) and the Johnny Holley family grew up together, and I have so many great memories of him. He was such a nice person, I don't think there was a mean bone in Johnny Ray's body. We all worked in the fields together, and he was a hard worker who could go the distance. I have nothing but the greatest respect for him. The last time I saw Johnny Ray, he talked about how lucky he felt to have such a wonderful wife and family. I know you, his family, will miss him greatly, as will all of us who knew him.

Dana, David, Sue, Ted, Bob, Mary, and Family:
We are so saddened to learn about Johnny Ray. He was an exceptionally nice guy, a good neighbor, and great friend, always happy to lend a helping hand. So many fun memories of our families growing up together on the mountain, working in the fields picking cucumbers and strawberries, and going swimming and to the movies come to mind as we remember Johnny Ray. We will miss him. May all of you be comforted by your memories.
Hugs,
Lou Ann and Bob
