Bonnie Jean Gibson, age 72, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Gibson was born October 30, 1942 at Lexa, Arkansas to the late Forrest Cox and the late Ivadale Clifton Cox. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena.
She is survived by her husband of ten years, Cecil Gibson; four sons, Willie Daniel Meiers of Charleston, South Carolina, Michael B. Meiers (Cara) of Tampa, Florida, Kevin Gibson of Southaven, Mississippi and Timothy Gibson (Rachel) of Myrtle, Mississippi; four daughters, Cynthia Ann Nixon (Todd) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Paula Gibson of West Helena, Sheila Culver (James) of Waterford, Mississippi, and Karen Anderson (Chris) of Barton, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Betty Grigsby of Batesville, Arkansas and Agnes Ginn of West Helena; one nephew, Donnie Ginn (Annette); and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Willie B. Meiers.
A memorial service for Bonnie Jean Gibson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Craig Routon will officiate.
