June 14, 1925 - August 20, 2015
William C. (Bill) McClintock, Sr., 90, of Sherwood, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2015. He was born to Oscar and Cora (Wells) McClintock on June 14, 1925 in Monticello.
Bill married the love of his life, Allean Sellers, of Elaine. They celebrated 65 years together on June 21.
He loved God, family, and country and proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing tenor in the choir and volunteering. Bill attended the University of Arkansas and Chillicothe (MO) College of Business. He worked for AP&L/Entergy, retiring as plant manager, while serving in the Naval Reserve for 35 years. He was a long-time ''ham'' (amateur) radio operator with memberships in QCWA, AARL, MARS and CAREN. He was also a member of Quester International, Pinnacle Chapter 1219. Other favorite interests included genealogy and volunteering at LRAFB Pharmacy for 20 years. Bill always had a way of making others smile and feel loved. He endeared himself as Uncle Billy to his many loving nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two sons, Bob and Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Allean; daughter Jane Ann Bilon (Larry); sons William C. McClintock, Jr. and Brent McClintock (Donna); grandchildren Jonathan Bilon, Joseph, Brady and Cora McClintock, all of Sherwood; great-granddaughter Taelor Bilon of Cabot; and many extended family and friends.
The price of love is grief..,
I knew Mr. McClellan as I dated his oldest daughter Jane Anne while attending high school. I will never forget we were talking while my date was getting prepared. Mr. McClellan looked me straight in the eye. Steven there are only two places the average man is happy. Where he is going and where he has been. I spent the next 12 years letting this piece of wisdom sink in. He never talked a lot to me but when he did, I listened.
To the McClintock Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I carry so many happy memories from all the time I spent at your home In Helena. Brent was a great friend in childhood and we had many adventures! A sense of welcome always carried through the household and you were so nice to me and other children of the neighborhood. Mrs. Mcclintock, I hope you can find a sense of peace knowing you are loved by many...even those of us far away.
To the McClintock family I send my condolences. I have many fond memories of your family and times in Helena. I was a guest in your house many times and always appreciated the hospitality. There was always some fun or excitement to be had there!
I wish your family only the best as you try to move forward from this sad time.

Mr. Bill was a volunteer at the base pharmacy since long before any of us started working or was stationed here. He always had a smile ready on his face with a bright "hello!" for everyone he greeted. He will be greatly missed by everyone here. He will be in our hearts forever.
Bill, Jane Ann and McClintock family:
So very sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad, I know he was a great man. God bless you all.
Bill was very special to us during all of the years that we have attended Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church together. I (Newt) worked with Bill for several years at the National Weather Service when the HAM operators would work there during severe weather events. Prayers for Allean and the family. God Bless All of You.
Farewell Shipmate. The Naval ranks will not the the same without you. Linda and I want to wish all the best to the entire family at this time of sorrow.
Bill and Allean are two of the best and favorite people I know. I know Senior had to shake his head in the early years because of some of the things we did but he was always there with words of wisdom and knew we had to work it out on our own. He was a great and kind man and will be missed. He personified the "Greatest Generation" with a level of character that the rest of us should aspire to achieve.
I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great and close family friend through the years. May God bring his strength and comfort to you all in these upcoming days. I know he will be missed terribly. My family has great memories of your family and mine growing up, our childhood days. In His love, Cheryl, Patty, Becky & Tommy
