Earlvie Magalene (Brewer) Martin, 86 of Onia, AR, entered into rest on July 28, 2015 at Stone County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mountain View, AR. She was born in Onia, AR on September 1, 1928 to Oscar and Lucy (Balentine) Brewer. She was saved at an early age and was an active member of Bethany Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Onia. She was a very dedicated servant for the Lord, traveling to numerous counties and states singing gospel music. Earlvie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Earlvie is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 61 years, Troy Martin, one son: Darvin Martin and his wife Janice, four grandchildren: Cole Martin, Angela Long Maynard, Keith Martin, and Lynnsey Martin Meaders, eleven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister, Verda Martin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lucy Brewer, one son, Harlan Martin, a daughter, Rita Martin Long and her husband, David Long, a grandson, Colby Long, three brothers, Lloyd, Udis, and Noah Brewer, and a sister, Vergie Brewer Wallis.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 6-8PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 31, 2015, 2:00PM at Bethany Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Onia, Arkansas with Brother Roy Jones officiating. Interment will be at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Cole Martin, Keith Martin, Elisha Maynard, Josiah Maynard, Harold Brewer, and Rodney Brewer. Honorary pallbearers are Mat Maynard, Donald Martin, and Joey Brewer.
