Thomas ''Steve'' Burns, 80, of Moro, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. He was born Thursday, March 28, 1935 to William F. Burns (Popcorn) and Eula Fowler Burns.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 29 years Pansy Burns, one son; Scott Scherff (Barbara), one daughter; Leigh Ann Johnston (Brian), four grandchildren; Garrett and Haley Scherff, Brianna Elmgren (Sean), Hunter Johnston, three great grandchildren; Kaidynce Scherff, Alexis Elmgren and Ezekiel Elmergen, two brothers; Billy Burns and Richard Burns; and a host of friends and hunting buddies.
Steve was loved and respected by all. He was retired from D & L after 37 years. Most referred to him as ''Papaw.'' He loved fishing, hunting, his grandchildren and his dogs.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Roy Burns and James Burns.
Services for Mr. Burns will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas at 10:00 A.M.. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5-7 also at Roller Citizens Funeral Home, Marianna. Burial will be at LaGrange Cemetery.
