David Rex Cue, age 60, of Gravel Ridge, passed away, June 29, 2015. He was born in Oelwein, Iowa to Claude Rex Cue and Betty Alsip Schuler on March 9, 1955. David attended Iowa State University where he received his Bachelors degree, following which he attended the University of Illinois where he received his Masters degree, he then went on to receive his PHD from the University of Iowa. He spent his career as a Research Microbiologist and was currently employed by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four infant children.
David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheila Rae Hillman Cue, son; Jonathan Allen Cue of Kansas, daughter; Josie (Robert) Scott, of Missouri, two granddaughters; Ariana Lynn and Raelyn Ann, sister; Marion Grant, of Arizona, brother; James Cue of Iowa, and stepmother; Jean Cue, of Iowa.
David was a quiet and humble man. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He will be greatly and forever missed.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Sheila, I just heard of Dave's passing and am so very sorry. You two were the perfect match! I remember when you were first dating then got married. He was so quiet, but dedicated. Take comfort in all of the memories you have of Dave over the past 40+ years and cherish them. Please take care and know that I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
