Willie M. ''Honey'' Harrington passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by her family, into her eternal home on June 17, 2015.
She was a beautiful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a tremendous friend to many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her faithful husband of 74 years, Reverend R.D. Harrington whom she fully supported in his 72 years of pastoring five Baptist Churches in Arkansas. She wonderfully fulfilled her prime role as homemaker and parent to her four children.
She is survived by one son, Russell Harington, Jr. (Donna), of Little Rock; three daughters, Pam Mills (Richard), of Arkadelphia; Sharron Ledrick (Jimmy), of Fort Worth, Texas; and Mary Ann Bishop (Jim), of Mandeville, Louisiana. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren all of whom adored her.
A celebration of Honey's life will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church, with Dr. Gary Hollingsworth and Reverend Phil Spigner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Arrangements by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 224-8300.
A special thanks to the Caregivers of Parkway Health Center and the many support staff of Parkway Village and especially Dr. Claudia Tolleson, Medical Director.
Memorials may be sent to Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 North Shackleford Little Rock, Arkansas 72211, Parkway Health Center, 14300 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, Arkansas 72211 or the Mills-Harrington Scholarship Fund, Ouachita Baptist University, 410 Ouachita Street, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71998.
So sorry for your loss. May the words spoken at John 5:28,29 be of comfort to your family at this time.
Russ and Donna, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today. May the Lord bring you peace as you celebrate the life of your mother.
So sorry we will not be able to be there. What a sweet mom you had. Will be praying for the family.
Such wonderful memories of the years shared with this beautiful lady. It was my pleasure to have been next door neighbor to my pastor and his wife and MaryAnn. Heaven received a beautiful angel as she is rejoicing with Brother Rock.
Dear Sharron and family: I share your grief for the loss of your mom. You are so blessed to have had such loving wonderful parents, as am I. I will never forget how you all came to see and hear my concert at Parkway Village and how delighted I was to see y'all again. I remember how dapper your dad looked and have always considered him one of my role models for his life and his appearance. We can look forward to seeing them again someday where there is no death or parting. --Love, Cousin Bob
Mary Ann, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family . Your mother was such a sweet little lady.
