October 31, 1921 - June 15, 2015

L. D. Bogle, age 93, of Harrison, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at Rogers, Arkansas. The son of John W. and Rhoda Jane (Reed) Bogle was born October 31, 1921, in Marion County, Arkansas. L. D. was a lifelong resident of Marion and Boone Counties. Along with his parents, L. D. was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Bogle; his sisters, Ethel Gilley and Lydia Avey; and his brothers, Arvin, Winthurp and Ran Bogle.

L. D. loved the Lord and was a founding member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Harrison. As a younger man, he enjoyed driving the church bus on Sunday mornings. L. D. was a businessman who loved tinkering and trying to invent new things. He even held several patents on tools. Later in life, L. D. spent many hours reading his Bible, telling stories with friends, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Joyce Bogle, of Harrison; his granddaughter, Tammy Bogle, of Springdale, Arkansas; his grandson and his wife, Dr. Shawn and Angie Bogle, of Bruno, Arkansas; his great-granddaughters, Lane and Katelynn Bogle, of Bruno, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.



Graveside funeral service was Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Maplewood Cemetery, with Eugene Saul officiating.

Pallbearers were Dr. Shawn Bogle, Kevin Bogle, Don Bogle, Cody Burrow, Bruce Trogden and Allen Potts.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed talking to L.D. He was a special me. I worked at Bogle glass and offend spoke with him. Your family is in our prayers, He will be greatly missed.
