Thank you for everything you've done for our family, and being an amazing grandpa to me and Brandon, since we never got to meet our blood grandpa. You've done so much for our family, and we couldn't thank you enough. I already miss hearing your voice & seein' you smile every time we came to see you. Thank you for being the best role model I could ask for. Its hard knowing you're not here with us anymore, but I'm happy that you're out of pain. You deserve the spot you're in today. We'll see you soon, Papa George. Fly high. I love you.

No, you weren't my blood grandfather. I never got the chance to meet him. But you were the only grandpa I've ever known. Since I was a little kid. You were always there for me, and whether you knew it or not, I looked up to you. More than you know. You always knew how to bring the best out in people. And you never failed to put a smile on my face, no matter how bad of a day I was having. You were the sweetest and most caring person I've ever met. You would do anything for anybody. I never would have imagined the day I met you, how big of an influence on my life you'd make. But you did. And I'm glad I got to share some amazing memories with you. They're priceless. I couldn't have chosen a better step-grandfather than you. You've been more than wonderful and caring towards my whole family. There's nothing I could ever have done to repay you for everything you've done for me. I was more than honored to get to carry your casket today. It meant the world to me. You have no idea how much I'm going to miss you and all the good times we had. But I know you're up in Heaven looking down at us right now, and I know I'll see you again someday. I love you so much Papa George. Rest In Peace.

Kenny and Dee Ann,
I saw the notice of your Dad's passing this morning and wanted to drop a note of let you know how sorry I am for your loss.
The times we shared as children at your place are some of the happiest memories that I have. George and Nadean were always part of that. They were good friends to my folks and both are missed.
I remember George as a genuinely good man who loved his family and his friends. His place among them and at the church is to be remembered with pride and honor.
Mama has talked of him often over the years and I have listened and laughed with her as she related some tidbit of their lives and friendship. I am sure that he will be missed by all.
I know that this is a hard time for you, but seek comfort in knowing that Nadean now has time to catch up with George. All those that have passed before are laughing with him as he relates a story or tells a joke. The streets of Heaven are happier today as one more smiling face has joined the throng.
May you find peace in knowing that your Dad is with God and rests now in perfect peace.

I feel so "blessed" to have had "Papa George" as a part of my life for the last 10+ years. What a wonderful Christian man he was! I am so proud to call him my step-dad. He treated my mother with honor and respect and I love him for that. Papa George loved my children like his own and was always so good to them. If this world had more men in it who knew how to love, be kind, and lead by Christian example, as he and my own father did, it would certainly be a better and more kind place to live. I will dearly miss this man, but I am comforted in knowing that Papa George has a new body and a new life in Heaven with the Lord. Oh, what a reunion he is having right now! Thank you Papa George for all you did for us. We love you!
