October 15, 1949 - March 13, 2015

Charlotte Ann Johnson, age 65, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. She was the first born child of Thurman and Charlene Cunningham on October 15, 1949, in Harrison, Arkansas. Charlotte spent all her childhood in the community until graduating from Harrison High School. She is preceded in death by her father, Thurman Cunningham.

Charlotte married Donald Johnson in 1968 and they spent their early lives in the Carolinas and moved back to Arkansas upon Donald accepting a position with the University of Arkansas. She spent a lot of time as a stylist and ultimately owned a salon in Cabot.

Charlotte then made a decision to complete her degree in Speech Pathology from UALR and obtained a Masters degree from Harding University. Spending a number of years working for the Cabot School District as a Special Education instructor, Charlotte found great joy and satisfaction serving children. Upon retirement, Charlotte enjoyed traveling abroad with friends, spending time with family and absolutely spoiling her grandsons.

Charlotte was a member of Cabot Church of Christ for 33 years and loved sharing her faith about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved her church family and was always willing to serve others.

Charlotte is survived by her mother, Charlene Cunningham; her husband of 46 years, Donald Ray Johnson; two sons, Brad and Jeremy Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Ana Johnson; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lee Beamon; her brother, Roger Cunningham; two grandsons, Evan and Luke; and numerous loving family members and friends.

I remember all the fun times we had in school. She was sweet to everyone and always had that beautiful smile on her face. She still had that smile later on in our lives when I got to visit with her. When I talked to her just a few weeks ago she was so upbeat and sounded at peace. I will miss her but I will never forget Charlotte. I know we will see her again one day.
