Richard C. Cox, age 71, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Helena, Arkansas. Mr. Cox was born September 23, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Harry Leslie Cox and the late Inez Lowery Hall and Johnny Hall. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Margaret Walker Cox; two daughters, Carla Miles (Kurt) and Carol King (Mike); and two grandchildren, Hannah Skye King and Jacob Allen Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marianne Haggard.
A service for Richard Cox will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena.
Pallbearers are Denver Chism, Wayne Bryan, Dr. Pat Bell, Sonny Hudman, Jason Webster and Morris Dixon.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Richard was a good friend & I enjoyed working with him at the hospital for many years. Never saw him that he didn't smile & ask how I was doing! May God bless all of you & I pray that He will wrap his arms around each of you & comfort you!
Margaret, and family, I just now saw that Richard had passed away. We are so sorry to hear this. We were out of town and just returned today. Richard was always smiling and a sweet person.
