Pauline (Fulbright) Wolford, 82, of Searcy, formerly of Batesville, died Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Searcy.
Born June 20, 1932 in Pine Hill, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Franklin L. Fulbright and Jessie Matilda (Hamlet) Fulbright.
She enjoyed karaoke, crocheting, needlepoint, crossword, number puzzles and watching University of Kentucky basketball. She loved her dog, Buddy, and cats, Sassy and Patty. She was loving, spunky and cared for others.
Pauline is survived by a son, Johnny Hawkins of Desert Center, California; five daughters, Marlene Converse of Searcy and her children: Waylon Pitts (Lynn) of Swifton, Arkansas and Jennifer Mount of Thida, Arkansas; daughter, Nancy Sweet of Beaufort, South Carolina and her children: Steve Sweet (Gayle) of Quincy, Florida, Christie Kurka (Timothy) of Noblesville, Indiana, Louis Sweet II (Heather) of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Gabrielle Powell (Christopher) also of Beaufort; daughter, Karen Goble (Ralph) of Dewalt, Kentucky, and her children: Melissa Goble of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Pamela Clement (Jeremy) of Lexington, Kentucky, John Goble (Christy) of Martin, Kentucky, and Nathan Goble (Heather) also of Martin; daughter, Lee Zettle of Stedman, North Carolina and her children: Haley Zettle of North Carolina, Hunter Zettle and Nina Zettle, both of Stedman; daughter, Beth Sheldon of Santa Clarita, California; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Wolford; brothers, Garland Fulbright, Junior Pearcy, Terrell Fulbright, Coy Fulbright and Jackie Fulbright; granddaughter, Paula Hawkins; and son-in-law, Jeffery Sweet.
There will be a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Cushman under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the funeral home.

I did not meet her until later in my life but I can honestly say I am so glad that I did. I only wish that I had met her and my brother and sisters much earlier. Life is too short. May she rest in peace.
