Irving Elmer Ahlquist 97, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. He was born January 11, 1917 in Mora, Minnesota to John and Mae (Hillman) Ahlquist.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Mildred Ahlquist, two sons, Jon Alquist of Tallahasse, Florida; and Paul Ahlquist of Madison, Wisconsin.

I met the Ahlquist's when I worked at Baptist Health Therapy Center in Fairfield Bay. They were the sweetest couple! He always took such good care of his wife. It was wonderful to see a love like that. He was a true gentleman. Rest in peace, Mr. Ahlquist. And to the family, I am so sorry for your loss.
