Jesse Lee James, 29, of Conway, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was born February 22, 1985 in Little Rock, AR. Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents Earl James, Sr. and Minnie Contreras and Gerald Thomas and Patricia Hamilton, his aunt, Deany Cowgill, and his uncle, Eddie Thomas.

Jesse enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals. He was a very talented artist and enjoyed studying Theology. Jesse was a very open and outgoing person, who was caring, loving, and had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son, who loved his family very much, especially his children.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Ashley LaTasha James, his children, Jullian James and Destiny James all of Conway, his parents, Earl James, Jr. of Norco, CA and Catherine Thomas of Conway, sister, Nicole Jones (Timothy) of Conway, two brothers, David James (Jessica) of Fort Smith, Ethan James of Norco, CA, mother in law, Phyllis Warden (Allen) of Smithville, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501) 327-7727, with Bro. Larry Pearce and Chaplain Harold Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

My condolences to the family and friends of Jesse. I know that words offer little comfort but the true meaningful comfort is found in the scriptures. May you find comfort in knowing that your tears and sorrow are not going unnoticed by the Almighty. . Psalms 34:18 shows he is "near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." Death is currently an enemy but not forever (Isa. 25:8 - He will swallow up death forever...And...will wipe away the tears from all faces."
