William Robert Middleton, age 83, of Benton, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was born in Hot Springs on December 11, 1931 to the late Francis Lorin Middleton and Clovis Tyo. He was known as ''Papa'' to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bob Middleton and his wife, Marjorie Ann Middleton.

He is survived by one son, Mark Searcy Middleton and wife, Anita of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Cindy Middleton of Benton; three grandchildren, Matthew Middleton and wife, Tiffany, Meredith Middleton Carriker and husband, Matt, and Alexandra Middleton; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Jonah, and Liam Middleton and Adalyn, Annie, and Lincoln Carriker, and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery in Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 North Market Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015.

So sorry for your loss, Cindy, Mark and Anita and family. Margie and Bill help raise us wacky kids in the late 60's and early 70's. Lots of good times on Ranchwood. Love too you all.
