Emma Jane Brunner Rapp, a 50 year resident of Sherwood, passed away on November 29, 2014 at the age of 86 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on December 12, 1927, near Plew, Missouri on Hwy 66 to the late Joe Brunner and Vina Bertha White Brunner. Mrs. Rapp attended Miller High School in Missouri and graduated in 1945 as Valedictorian. She furthered her education by attending a Business College in Springfield, Missouri. In 1987, she retired from Federal Service US Department of Agriculture Office of the General Counsel with 30 years service.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Donald Langford Rapp; her sister, Neva Frances Brunner; and brother, Floyd Leo Brunner.
She is survived by a son, Jay Donald Rapp of Memphis, Tennessee; daughter, Zanya Rapp Clarkson and husband, Randy of Little Rock; two grandsons, Sean Michael Clarkson of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Derek Lane Clarkson of Memphis, Tennessee.
The family extends a very special thank you to the caring staff of Hospice Homecare Inpatient Center of Little Rock.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400). It was a blessing to have your mother in my life. And, I know there are other people who knew her amazing warmth too. Your loss is great and it is hard to know what you are feeling. All I know to do is to hold on to the wonderful memories I have of her from childhood to where we now. I too had a great time traveling with Aunt Jane … cruising the Mediterranean waters.
