Chester L. Morlan, age 86, of Harrison, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014, at Harrison. He was born January 21, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of John and Edith (Riddenhour) Morlan. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and four brothers.
Chester was of the Lutheran faith. He was a security guard at McKesson of Harrison. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and working and being outside.
The Lord received another great man, Grandpa Chester. He was one of the most selfless men a person had the pleasure of knowing. He'd give the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed. We love you Grandpa.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, Reatha (Dean) Morlan, of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Lester Daniels, Sharon and Steve Phillips, and Lynn Groves, all of Harrison; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was Monday, November 17, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Graveside service is 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Maple Leaf Cemetery, with Frank Whiteside officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Dr. Dunaway and his staff are honorary pallbearers.
