Rick Johnson, age 69 of Oxley, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, November 08, 2014 near his home. He was born in Midland, Michigan on February 18, 1945 to Alfred Johnson and Helen (Pickens) Johnson.
Rick was a veteran of the United States Army. His lifelong occupation was a rock layer. His handy work can be viewed all over Stone and Searcy County. Rick was a good, giving man who enjoyed helping others. He was a man who had many friends and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Linioul Dale Johnson and Johnny Johnson.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Dean Johnson, Billie Johnson and Rick Turner; four grandchildren, Kayla, Breanna, Elizabeth and Anthony; three brothers, William F. Johnson and wife LaDonna of Alger, MI, Cris Sarantos and wife Ellen of Leslie and Kenny Moffat and wife Donna of MI; one sister, Mary Ann Wolf and husband Bob of Weston, OH; nephews, William (Tina) Johnson, Jared Johnson, Johnny Gates and Tommy (Tabitha) Gates; nieces, Lori (Ed) Van Dorsten, Dawn (James) Moore, Kimberly Johnson and Wendy (Herb) Shriver; great nieces, Hailey Johnson and boyfriend, Kenny Brown and Karley Johnson; and many other friends and family who will also mourn his passing.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Floyd Church in Midland, MI. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery in Midland, MI.
A local memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at The Leslie United Methodist Church in Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Proctor officiating.
I still cannot believe you are gone.. I pick up my phone to call you and then it hits me your not here... I go to sleep wake up thinking it was a bad dream.. But i went to your funeral and i have to accept it that your gone...I miss you alot. Me and your grandkids will never forget you!!! We have alot of good memories and pictures to look at for the time we had together.

You where very nice to me you talk to me, Taught me how to play krokay. Took me for a ride on your motorcycle.. And we went back and fed the chickens.. I laughed because they looked like they where dancing.. We went to Branson for the day ate that big pizza. And you And Mrs Pat took us sight seeing.. I'm going to miss you, .Cool Papa Love Lulu. I love you cool papa. I wish i could have more time with you. I'm gonna miss talking on the phone and you trying to convince me to move down to Arkansas with you. For now all I have is the memories, great ones at that, but im not worried because i know I'll see you again someday and until then i know your watching over me. I love you cool papa.
