Jerry Eugene Scott

of Harrison, AR

February 29, 1932 - November 2, 2014

Jerry Eugene Scott, age 82, of Harrison, passed away, Sunday, November 2, 2014, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born February 29, 1932,
in Ferguson, Missouri, the son of Charles and Bertha (Sorber) Scott. He was preceded in death by his Parents; a son, Gary Scott; three sisters; and two brothers.

Jerry loved his Lord, family, and church family. He met the love of his life, Carole Banister, during their school days and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together. He was a well read and self-educated man and there was no other like him with such a big heart. He was a heavy equipment and crane operator and later drove a truck and built his home and farm.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Carole, of the home; four sons, Kelly (Cherie) Scott of Bergman, Arkansas, Alan (Julie) Scott of St. Charles, Missouri, David (Jeanie) Scott of St. Louis, Missouri and Jeffrey Scott of Montana; two daughters, Vickie Pate of Florida and Barbara Ann (Kevin) McCarthy of St. Louis; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.

Open visitation was at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Graveside service was Friday, November 7, 2014, at York Cemetery, with Bro. Lonnie Burks officiating.

Dear Carole and Family,

There is no card made by Hallmark to express the thoughts and feelings Madelyn and I share with you from the recent passing of your dear Jerry.

There is nothing we can say to make your grief and the pain of your loss go away. All we can say is how very sorry we are.

Please know you are in our prayers. We are also praying for Jerry. While he is no longer with us in our limited vision of creation, he still is. Someday you will have the most joyous reunion.

Very Sincerly,

Denny and Madelyn Banister
