Carolyn Ethel (Besancon) Ringer, 82, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was born September 15, 1932.
Carolyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Ross Ringer, Jr., and her parents, Frank James and Ethel Grace (Hudson) Besancon. Survivors include her two daughters, Marinelle Ringer and Georgiana (Ringer) Michels; her grand-daughter, Rebecca (Michels) Mahaffey; her great-grandson, Aiden Mahaffey; her sister, Julia (Besancon) Giles; and her brother, Charles Besancon. Of special note are her life-long friends and best companions, cousin Francille (Hudson) Honeycutt and sister-in-law, Alice (Ringer) Oholendt.

She was a proud retiree from the Little Rock District Corps of Engineers which she served as budget analyst and EEOC officer. So sorry to hear of Carolyn's death. I went to school with Carolyn and she was a very caring person. Always with a smile on her face. We reconnected when her husband died and she started coming to our "50's" luncheons. What a great person to be around. Always positive. Loved her.

Words cannot describe the feeling I have of losing my granny. There is a piece of me missing now, but hopefully one of these days I can look back at all of our memories with a smile instead of a tear. I love you and will miss you forever.

I was sad to learn of Carolyn’s passing. What a super fantastic person and with her passing a great loss to us all. Anyone who encountered Carolyn could not help but to realize that their world and our world were made much, much better because of her. My prayers for comfort are with her family and all who loved her.

There will never be another "Carolyn". I knew her while we both worked for the Corps. She was always willing to help you understand a problem. She had a kind and loving heart. She never had anything bad to say about someone. She thought the best of everyone she met. She brought out the best in people around her. She will always be remembered as a GREAT person simply because she was one.
