LaVern Hensley, 94, of Hickory Flat, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was born on Monday, August 30, 1920 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to the late James Calvin and Frances Ann Cullum Bowers.
Mrs. Hensley was a homemaker helping her husband on the family farm, she enjoyed quilting, canning, her flowers, Dominoes, her cats, but most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Hensley; a son, Kerry Hensley; two brothers, Earl Bowers and Junior Bowers; and a sister, Iva Jean Berschwale.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter Venetta Rice and her husband Henry of North Little Rock; sons, Chester Hensley and his wife Carolyn of McAlester, Oklahoma and James Richard Hensley and his wife Donna of Bertram, Texas; five grandchildren, Douglas Hensley, Robin Gunter, Sheila Reaves, Jessica Hensley and Ronald Hensley; a sister, Ann Grant of Michigan; a brother, Clarence Duane Bowers of Monticello, Arkansas; special friends, Sherry Altom and Tammie Coburn; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2014, 9:00-10:00am in the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy, (501)268-3546. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am in the chapel with Dr. Joe Brumfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery.

Phil's mother has been in the hospital since Monday night wtth multiple problems and at 89, it could go any direction. We will look for you at Sam's or Walmart's and "remember" her with you, hopefully soon.
