Winfred ''Wimp'' W. Glover, 82, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2014. He was born in Greenbrier on May 27, 1932, to the late Sam and Johnnie Glover. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Kenneth Burris; brothers, Wayne, Wallace and Wandle Glover and sister, Katherine Lybarger.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Helena Marine Service. He loved playing cards with his family, the outdoors which included hunting and watching the deer out his back door window, and he greatly loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Barbara Glover; sons, Preston Glover and wife Tammie, Kelly Glover and wife Nona; daughter, Laura Burris; grandchildren, Brandi, Amber and Amanda Glover, Rachel and Micha Powell, Leonard and Michelle Glover; brothers, Willard and Wilburn Glover; sisters, Lola Mae Brown, Mary Ann Freeman and Sue Seay; many nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Doctor Martin Jamison and Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Preston, Kelly, Leonard, and Wilburn Glover, Micha Powell, Cary Davis, Mike Keys, and Danny Roberts. General public visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier on Wednesday evening. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery Association.
