Peggy Jean Snyder, 85, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born September 26, 1929 to Junius Bivens and Myrtle Galloway Bivens in Helena, Arkansas.

She leaves behind to mourn her, her husband, Billy Ray Snyder; one son, Gary Ray Snyder (Sandra) of Hebron, Indiana; three grandchildren, Dianna Duvall (Klint), Kristina Snyder and Jessica Sheppard (Matt); three great-grandchildren, Hayden Duvall, Mya Durall and Peyton Sheppard; three sisters, Katherine Snyder of Lexa, Jo Ann Charlton of West Memphis, Arkansas and Francis Bivens of Lexa; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents; one child, Mike Snyder; two sisters, Doris Johnson and Thelma Anderson; one brother, James Bivens; one great-grandchild, Aubrey Sheppard.

Peggy was a retired telephone operator with South Western Bell. She was a member of Lexa Baptist Church.

Services will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Lexa Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Tommy Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller Citizens Chapel in West Helena, Monday, September 29, 2014.

Praying that God blesses this sweet family with comfort and strength during this promotion time for Ms. Peggy ! May knowing she is with Jesus ,completely healed , warm your heart. I know she was met by many Lexa friends. She was sweet lady and will be missed!
